F-1 OPT: Application Basics
This workshop covers topics for students preparing to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT), including eligibility factors and timing of application, considerations for travel and employment, and tips for preparing and mailing the OPT application.
*You must receive OPT I-20 from the International Student Services Office before submit the online or paper Form I-765 application to USCIS.   If you submit a Form I-765 application to USCIS before you have received your OPT I-20, your application will be denied.** 
 
Submitting a CPT Request
This workshop covers topics related to F-1 regulations and application procedures associated with CPT, Curricular Practical Training. Attendance of the CPT workshop is encouraged for any F-1 Student who wishes to Request Curricular Practical Training.  
 
US resume versus International CV*
This workshop covers topics on how to create an effective resume that highlights your relevant qualifications to the position is crucial in a successful job or internship search in the US. 
 
Internship Search for International Students*
This workshop covers the topic of how to be successful in your job search as an international student.  You must plan ahead, be knowledgeable on the advising available on campus, and up-to-date regarding immigration requirements.  

STEM OPT 24 Month Extension
This workshop covers topics for students preparing to apply for 24 month STEM OPT extension.  It is intended for students currently on post completion OPT who are eligible to apply for 24 Month STEM extension.  We will discuss eligibility, deadlines, how to request STEM OPT I-20, USCIS application submission, maintaining F-1 status while on STEM OPT, considerations for travel and employment and reporting requirements while on STEM.  
**You must receive STEM OPT I-20 from the International Student Services Office before submit the online or paper Form I-765 application to USCIS.   If you submit a Form I-765 application to USCIS before you have received your STEM OPT I-20, your application will be denied.**
