Checklist For The First Night In The Residence Halls

✓ Students who are picked up from the airport will be brought to SUNY New Paltz for check in. 
The residence halls do NOT provide bed linens, pillows  or towels.
Students can either bring their own or buy them during the shopping trip scheduled for the day after airport pickup. 

Here is a checklist of items you might want to bring with you to help you get settled in your new room. 

Essentials: 
- 1 Bed Sheet (Twin XL) & Light Blanket 
- Toothbrush & Tooth Paste (travel size)
- Body Wash or Soap Bar 
- Bath Towel 
- Warm Clothes & Winter Jacket
- Water Proof Shoes or Snow Boots  (If you don’t have any, you can buy them during the shopping trip)
- Personal electronics, such as a laptop, tablet, mobile phone, and power adapters
- Prescription Medications (Bring a doctor’s note and a copy of your prescription (in English))

-Bring family photos 
-Country flag 
-Traditional outfits for cultural events 
-Anything to make you feel at home 
-Your favorite non-perishable snacks 


The International Student Services Office will share details (1 month prior to arrival) about purchasing items online and having them shipped to campus.
