Currently enrolled students can request a Status Letter through the International Student Platform. Status letters verify F-1 or J-1 student status, dates of attendance, and current student enrollment status. This letter is typically requested for visa renewals, scholarship applications, loan applications, automobile insurance, etc.
You must be in valid F-1 or J-1 student status,
enrolled full time,
current semester invoice must be processed or paid
current local address updated in my.newpaltz.edu, and
have no active holds on your record
Log in to your My ISS-Profile.
Click on “2. Requests.”
Under “What Can We Help You With”, see your request options, and click on the request you would like to make (Letter Request).
Ensure that your address is current in my.newpaltz.edu and that no holds exist on your record.
Complete the Letter Request.
Submit.
You will receive an email from the International Student Services office once your letter has bee issued.
Additionally, the National Student Clearinghouse is authorized to provide enrollment and degree verifications for SUNY New Paltz students and former students.
