Currently enrolled students can request a Status Letter through the International Student Platform. Status letters verify F-1 or J-1 student status, dates of attendance, and current student enrollment status status. The Status Letter is printed on university letter head, and signed by an International Student Advisor. This letter is typically requested for visa renewals, scholarship applications, loan applications, automobile insurance, etc...
You must be in valid F-1 or J-1 student status,
enrolled full time,
current semester invoice must be processed or paid
current local address updated in my.newpaltz.edu, and
have no active holds on your record
Ensure that your address is current in my.newpaltz.edu and that no holds exist on your record.
Click on the link below, Request Status Letter.
You will be prompted to log in to your ISS-Profile.
Complete the Letter Request
- Choose Type of letter
- Click update
Once you click update, we will be notified of your submission.
You will receive an email from the International Student Services office once your letter request has been completed.
Additionally, the National Student Clearinghouse is authorized to provide enrollment and degree verifications for SUNY New Paltz students and former students. You can find more information about Enrollment & Degree Verification on the Records & Registration page. This enrollment certificate, is a PDF copy of your enrollment dates.
